Gelato

We offer homemade gelato based on an old family recipe.

Gelato is available in the store between Memorial Day weekend and Labor Day weekend (inclusive). Sizes are 8, 12, and 16 oz. In-store flavors may change as seasonal fresh fruits become available.

For preorder with in-store pickup, gelato is available all year with the exception of January and February. Preorders are available for 1 Pint (16 oz) only.

What makes gelato batter? Gelato is denser, creamier, and more intensely flavored than ice cream. Gelato is made with more milk and less cream. Lower fat in gelato allows flavors like pistachio to come through more clearly.

Gelato is churned slowly, incorporating 20–35% air, making it dense and smooth.

Gelato is served warmer, around 12–18°F, keeping it soft and allowing flavors to be more pronounced.

We use local milk, organic sugar, and no eggs which produces a silky, elastic texture.

Gelato’s lower fat and denser structure make flavors more intense per spoonful.
